According to more than one study Adelaide is Australia’s most “Liveable City”; so how do we avoid the hubris of the tagline and develop a strategy that ensures we thrive in a more competitive, more carbon-constrained world? Buckminster Fuller said the best way to predict the future is to design it. That’s why we need a design strategy for the city and that’s what 5000+ aims to deliver. History tells us that all cities have their moment 5000+ is a once in a generation chance to ensure we don’t miss ours.
