A tale of two cities

Date: 1:00 pm | Sunday 9 October 2011

Venue: Adelaide Town Hall

Faith has worked at the creative heart of two very different Scottish cities – Edinburgh and Dundee. Both have gone through remarkable transformations, driven by culture and creative vision. Over more than 60 years the impact of Edinburgh’s Festivals, cultural and economic, has ensured its change from provincial city with a decaying heart to thriving international capital. Over 12 Years, Dundee Contemporary Arts has driven an arts-led renaissance that has redefined the reputation and economy of this depressed post-industrial city and most recently attracted the development of the first V&A Museum outside London. Lead by fierce ambition and supported by continuing enlightened investment, what do we have to learn from this tale of two cities?
