The current possibilities for using genetics and other biotechnologies to enhance human cognitive and physical performance are real and significant. Julian Savulescu, a world leader in the field of practical ethics, will argue we have a moral obligation to pursue the project of human perfection. More controversially, science is already affording us means of improving moral behaviour. Is there an urgent need to morally enhance humanity?
